The lovely Kelly has asked me not to take my paintings down (as is usually the case when your exhibition ends) but that she wants new ones up! So it's back to work/ create and here is a peek at my little poster to get people to come on by.

my week in 6...{wk 5}

This week has been pretty hectic (hence the mid week entry!) so instead of images cos' I havn't really had time to trawl my favourite sites, blogs, books and zines I'm going to give you all a little insight into the 6 best things I have to look forward to this month. It's taken a little while to decide as this Feb is looking fuller and fuller as the days roll by but here goes...

my week in 6...week 4!

So this week was pretty much all about moving all our junk around and making the tiny bedroom in our house into a studio all of my own!

It's inside, with windows AND I can shut the door when i'm done, it's amazing!! It does mean i'm not underthestairs anymore but i'm good with that for the moment for sure.

however

I am having my very first exhibition opening tomorrow night and am up to my eyeballs in lists (i makes lists to organise myself, i'm a list person lol).

my week in 6...week 2

So this week has been a crazy roller coaster ride of well, just crazy.

Parcels arrived from overseas friends with lovely surprise belated christmas pressies, i've been up to my eyeballs in hooks and string and drills and screws and about a thousand other things getting my paintings ready to hang for Monday re-opening of XoXo (the cafe where my show is) and who could forget the newest addition to my collection of creations.

well, here's a little sneak peek ..

Ok guys so i've hung all 12 pieces for my FIRST EVER solo show (eek!!) and i'm ready for everyone to see!

Gearing up for my first solo show!

So here I am, 3 days away from hanging my first solo show and i am freaking out! I'm sure it will all come together in the end but right it's panic stations that's for sure. Getting everything ready, varnished, set to actually BE on a wall where the general public can see (and judge!).

I will keep you all posted on my progress and hopefully, maybe see you there?

I've been away...

Dear all of you out there (who may or may not be following my lovely blog-ness...),
I apologise for my lack of contact over this busy period, I took off to amazing Fiji for the christmas break with the fam and i'll be honest, wasn't looking too forward to coming back home.

Anyway, so this will be my first post for 2010, I hope it's going well for everyone so far! Tomorrow I will start back on my week in 6 and hopefully we'll get on a roll.
