Opening Night fun times!

So Re-framed has opened and closed and was yet another fantastic experience. Love the peeps who made it all come to fruition and a special shout out to all who made it down to White Canvas on opening night to help us celebrate our third group show with many more to come in the pipe line!

Here are a few sneak peaks at our opening night shenanigans, for more check us out on our Facebook page!

The newest

A little bit of late night blogging never hurt anyone right?!

This has been the longest week ever and it's only Wednesday! But never fear, the coffee and the juice maker will keep me strong (especially when you get a little crazy with the juice recipes and the beetroot and the purple carrots come out to play and you're more interested in the pretty colours being spat out of the juicer than the juice itself...) and the art will be made/ uni assignments completed/ exams studied for...

How do you see me?
A series of necklaces crafted from upcycled and vintage materials.

These are a sneak peek preview of what I've been working hard away on and will be part of my addition to the group show that opens this Saturday at White Canvas Gallery, you should probably come and check us out.

Getting my art.on

I swear, I don't even know how long it's been between art making sessions so today I finally decided to pull my finger out, get motivated and start making rather than just thinking about it!

With the sun almost shining and some sweet tunes... (don't judge! you know who you are)

and some maybe not so sexy painting clothes I made a good old mess, and a great start to two new pieces for a show set for late August.

(you should totally check out our facebook page at Re-Framed and like us!!)

Here's a sneak peek, let me know what you think!

Red Hill Kindergarten Art Show!

Hola tiny dancers!

This is just a quick spruik for a group art show that both my artwork and jewellry will feature in in a couple of weeks time. So, because it's in conjunction with the Red Hill Kindy, alongside the selected guest artists all the kids will also have pieces of artistic brilliance on display {i'm just saying now, future artistic genius right there!}.

 So if you're in the area please come along to support your local artists and kindergarten. All artworks will be for sale and will include but not be limited to painting, photography, ceramics and jewellry.

Guest artists include
* Imogen Macdonald
* Kristyn Roberts
* Xani Kennedy
* Rachael Sedgeman
* Nikki Roberts
* Chris Kemp
* Kim Aitken
* Morgan Kennedy
* Nadine Sawyer
* Kate Knapp

and you'll find the art, wine and nibblies at The community hall next door to Red Hill Kindergarten.

And did I mention it's one night only people so get on board!!

New exhibition

Ola tiny dancers!!

So today has been a wee better and for that I finished my first of a few new pieces I have been working on for a group exhibition I will be in later this month. This is the second of hopefully an ongoing annual show, the first one was held last year at the Circle Gallery in West End.

Anyway, so here it is, the finished piece all framed up and ready to go. It's not the most amazing photograph in the world but please let me know what you all think!

So if you're interested, the opening night is August 27th from 4pm,

Circle Gallery in West End, Brisbane.

Something More - Opening Night

It was such an amazing, successful evening! Thank you to all who came and supported us and if you missed out, well, here are a couple tasty morsels of the night. These photos are all of the corner my work featured in but never fear, there are far more photos to come. Like I said, these are just a few.
