This is what I tell myself when I silly-ly get online and tempt my self with the pretty things. Things that in order to buy, one must have the cash...this one does not...BIG sadface.
I accidentally tuned into the second half of the second episode of New Girl last night. I thought to myself, probably should watch the first episode and the first bit of this one, just to check it out and cure my curiosity. So I downloaded them, up to episode number 8... and proceeded to watch every single one.
Today I worked.
Tonight I came home, had a shower, made dinner and downloaded the remaining two episodes available and wrote this blog.
Guess what I'll be doing once I press publish on this bad boy?
Australia day happened and then the day after {the day of rest} happened so therefore no photo project.
Tonight however I went and watched the QLD Roar get schooled by the Newcastle Jets, in the drizzling rain, and we even missed this penalty. When I say missed I mean we may aswell not even have taken it. My main man Berisha {#7} wasn't even playing due to a match ban so overall, an average evening of football.
This is how I feel about the rank rank weather we're having currently. I'm prettu sure I could have swum to work this morning and the tower of dirty laundry that's piling up is threatening to take over the laundry and surrounding area! If this keeps up I'll be forced to either visit the laundromat across the road { barely even an option} or hike up to the laundry of mum and dad, and fingers crossed get dinner into that bargain.
So yesterday I got a bit slack and didn't post a photo. Except for the one that was making up for my slackness for the previous day.
Today though I am totally making up for it with a breakfast montage AND a photo project photo.
To begin, here we are with a breakfast of champions. Skinny flat white and a blueberry muffin care of
In-cog-neat-o, the best coffee around and right around the corner from my work...almost too convenient.
And to follow, a little guy I saved from the freezing temperatures of our aircon at work today. I hope he likes the outdoors as much as the drawing room carpet!
I had the best idea to post about today and then it got all rainy and gross when I wanted to take a photograph of my bean seedlings {my best idea yet} to post.
Sooo, you'll have to just do with a photo of the newest addition to my shoe collection {I've been told I have sone sort of problem but I feel that one can never have too many shoes}. They're cute, they're leopard print AND they were ridiculously on sale.
In keeping with my earlier new years resolution post and the idea of jamie oliver-ing the shit out of cooking for one, tonight I tackled jerk chicken, grilled corn with beans and rice.
It was flippin delicious and could only have been made better with an ice cold beer and the boy to share it with. It even looks like it came straight out of the 30 minute meals cookbook {let's not mention that it took me just shy of an hour rather than 30 mins though}.
Rice paper spring roll dinner with baby Mia and the laydees, an awesome night of baby cuddles, wine, delicious dinner, great chat and facebook stalking tips 101.
So I realise that so far this project isn't going along as these things are supposed to, but too bad! I got the option to head up the beach for a few days camping without phone reception and I jumped at the chance!
So here are the four days I missed whilst galivanting on the beach, now I'm up to date and there will be a.non photo protect related blog coming soon about our camping adventures!
Day 4 - day one of our coming trip, camp set up and now it's time to hit the beach!
Day 5 - still camping but we hit rainbow beach to buy some bait and have a hard earned cider at the pub, mine had a love great in it, can you see it?!
Day 6 - we found this weird bear in the sand near our campsite and it became a player in our slightly skewed version of the spicks and specks board game that we made up after playing the real version.
Day 7 - the view at 6:30am from the track up to the light house, back into the bay.
My name is Morgan, I live in sunny {most of the time} Brisbane and love a good gin & tonic.
Creating things people like to look at, wear and have around them is what I love to do and red licorice, pretty shoes, skinny flat whites, chocolate icecream, playing hockey and a really good baked cheescake are other loves of my life.
This is my place to show whoever is watching cool things I find and pretty things I create. I hope you enjoy xx
The thing I love most is finding something special and using it to make another something special or being inspired to create something totally new.
When I have the time or am asked by a friend I love to draw and paint with archival inks on beautiful paper to create works that will hopefully be loved by those who hang them in their homes.
I also love to create jewelery and homewares from upcycled and pre-loved objects, giving something a new lease on life is pretty exciting in itself. These pieces I sell at my shop on etsy.com, at the Reverse Garbage gift shop in Brisbane and at local markets.
I like to think of it all as organically abstract.
